Cosmetic-making workshop a success

to Culpeper in CrownGate Shopping Centre got the chance to make their
own cosmetic product, as part of a special open day at the store.
Expert Culpeper staff demonstrated basic cosmetic-making techniques during an aromatherapy workshop, before visitors got the chance to try their own hand at creating their very own lip balms to take home with them.
A goodie bag, including product-making recipes and money-off vouchers was handed out to round off the afternoon workshop, and all those taking part received ten per cent off any aromatherapy product in store.
Customers visiting the store during the morning were treated to free holistic therapy taster sessions, including reiki, reflexology, Indian head massage and homeopathy, and were able to gain tips and advice from staff.
Culpeper’s Alex Platt said: “We are delighted with the success of the open day- it proved to be very popular and visitors really enjoyed it – we received some great feedback.
“The aromatherapy workshop was especially popular – I think people are increasingly looking to different ways to use more natural products and to save money at the same time, so this was a great chance to learn something new.
“Making your own cosmetics not only saves the pennies, but is also a very enjoyable and rewarding experience, and we are glad that we can pass the techniques on so that people can enjoy creating their own products at home.”
