Put your hands up and show you care at CrownGate
An evocative display, forming part of a campaign to raise awareness of climate change, will be on show in CrownGate Shopping Centre’s Bell Square on October 24th.
A young volunteer from Worcester is launching the campaign, 'Hand's Up! Show you care', to get people talking about climate change and the upcoming UN Conference in Copenhagen this December.
The project is part of the international campaign, 350, which is uniting people from around the world to demand a fair and just climate deal at Copenhagen. Calling upon leaders to lower Carbon Dioxide levels below 350 parts per million - the safe upper limit in our atmosphere - we'll make it clear that we want an international agreement that stops the climate crisis.
Hand's Up! will involve the collection of hand prints from local businesses, organisations and individuals, with a message of why they care about climate change.
This will be displayed in Bell Square on October 24th - the 350 Day of Action – and it will also give the public an opportunity to contribute to the display with their own messages.
