Give a helping hand to charity at the Body Shop
Shoppers can get soft hands while giving a helping hand to charity at The Body Shop, in CrownGate Shopping Centre.
The Body Shop is launching a new campaign on Thursday 13th August with international children’s rights organisation ECPAT – ‘Stop Sex Trafficking of Children & Young People’, to raise awareness and funds to help stop trafficking and sexual exploitation of children and young people in the UK and around the world.
Customers can lend their support by purchasing a new special edition Soft Hands Kind Heart hand cream (RRP £5), from The Body Shop, designed exclusively for the campaign, and £3.45 is donated to ECPAT from each sale.
Louise Symonds, store manager, said: “Trafficking exists in countries all over the world – not just the poorest – the latest government report identified children from 52 countries trafficked into the UK.
“By purchasing Soft Hands Kind Heart hand cream, you are not only getting a wonderful product to protect and moisturise your hands, but you will be reaching out to the hundreds of thousands or vulnerable children and young people exploited by the sex trade.”
Soft Hands kind Heart is made from Angelica extract, known for its protective and soothing properties, and Community Trade organic olive oil, to condition and soften hands.
To pick up your own tube and support the campaign, visit The Body Shop, in Chapel Walk, CrownGate.
