Fashion Fortnight is coming to CrownGate!
Fashion shows, live music and prize giveaways are all part of an action-packed fortnight of events, taking over CrownGate Shopping Centre in October.
From Monday 5th to Saturday 17th October, CrownGate will be a hive of activity as celebrations to mark the completion of its multi-million pound refurbishment get underway.
It’s lights, camera, action on Saturday 17th - the grand finale of the fortnight when Bell Square will be transformed into a glamorous catwalk where models will showcase the latest fashions from stores including House of Fraser, Roscoe and Crombie, Gerry Weber, Debenhams and Animal at intervals throughout the day.
As well as soaking up the hottest styles to hit the shelves, shoppers can vote on their favourite outfits in a Beat the Stylist event, and pick up free CrownGate goodie bags, packed with products from the stores.
On Tuesday 13th, Bell Square will be transformed into an exclusive salon as Clarins beauty house visits to give shoppers luxury pampering sessions.
Relaxing hand massages from Culpeper and beauty treatments from The Body Shop will be on offer on Friday 9th and shoppers can try out the latest make-up trends as beauty experts from Debenhams, House of Fraser and Boots give free makeovers on Tuesday 13th, featuring top beauty brands Clinique, Benefit and Estée Lauder.
Live band Swing to Soul will be injecting a lively atmosphere into Bell Square on Saturday 10th, and children can get their faces painted by Funky Faces on Sunday 11th, between 11am and 3pm.
Luxury gift hampers, containing a wealth of products from the centre’s many stores will be up for grabs in prize draw events, running over the first week of the fortnight, and customers can drop into a number of stores for taster days, mini fashion shows and competitions throughout the fortnight.
CrownGate centre manager, Erica Burlace said: “CrownGate has just undergone an extensive refurbishment, thanks to investment from its owners, The Crown Estate, so we want to launch the new look centre with a bang!
“There will be something for everybody, from fashion shows to free giveaways running throughout this action-packed event – so we’d encourage everybody to come down to CrownGate and join in the fun!”
