Boston Tea Party comes to Worcester!
The Crown Estate, owner of the CrownGate Shopping Centre in Worcester, is pleased to announce the forthcoming opening of café chain Boston Tea Party at the recently refurbished 18 Broad Street.
Based in the West Country and currently trading through seven outlets, Boston Tea Party was voted Best Small Branded UK Coffee Chain last year and offers everything from the highest quality loose leaf teas, to locally & ethically sourced meals, to delicious homemade cakes.
Boston Tea Party will now begin decorating the internal space at 18 Broad Street, with a view to opening in early November.
Sam Roberts, Managing Director of Boston Tea Party: “We are a small, family-owned, award-winning business; a classic British café, specialist coffee & tea house, smoothie bar and restaurant all rolled into one!"
The Boston cafés have grown to be much more than just a place to grab a coffee and slice of cake - we encourage people to use our notice boards to promote their businesses, to advertise local events, to use us as a meeting place as well as a space to exhibit their art. We hope that the new Boston Tea Party in Worcester will also become very much part of the community before too long."
“Our growth to date has been methodical; we look for architecturally interesting buildings in vibrant, culturally-rich cities, with a good mix of students and families - Worcester delivers extremely well on all these fronts.”
The Crown Estate, having transformed the three-storey listed building on Broad Street into a highly desirable unit, has now secured an ideal tenant for such a prominent site in Worcester City Centre. Adjacent to Friary Walk and Chapel Walk, 18 Broad Street is a significant location within the CrownGate Shopping Centre and acts as a major junction between the two CrownGate malls.
Jim Yates, Head of Development at The Crown Estate commented: “We are delighted with this letting as Boston Tea Party fit perfectly with The Crown Estate’s vision for Worcester. Our ongoing investment in the city is enhancing the retail offer for customers and, along with the improvement works in Chapel Walk due to complete in the autumn, this letting demonstrates the growing attraction of Worcester to national and regional retailers.”
