CrownGate celebrates conclusion of major £5m refurbishment and re-brand
Chapel Walk has today [Thursday, 1 October 2009] been re-launched following a comprehensive £5million refurbishment programme. To coincide with the re-launch the centre has also unveiled its fresh, new logo and website to celebrate CrownGate's "classic" and "contemporary" credentials.
The focus of the redevelopment project in Chapel Walk has been to sensitively introduce fresh, contemporary finishes, including new paving, ceilings, eco-friendly lighting and glazed canopies. The redevelopment programme also included the replacement of the stand-alone “Pavilion” unit by Huntingdon Hall with a contemporary glass structure that is a new focal point for Bell Square. The entrance to Chapel Walk from the High Street – the Bull Entry – has been transformed with the introduction of a striking glass canopy to create a more welcoming experience for shoppers.
Erica Burlace, Centre Manager of CrownGate comments: “We are anticipating a phenomenal response from shoppers, who are going to enjoy the bright and contemporary shopping environment, while the new branded website, which we launched last month, has already proven a hit because it brings all the exciting fashion and retail brands together in one clear and convenient website.
“The support of all the CrownGate retailers has been paramount to the success of the programme and I want to thank them for their support, patience and cooperation while the refurbishment and rebrand has been underway.”
