Take the stress out of Christmas shopping at Culpeper event
Embarking on those all-essential Christmas shopping trips can be stressful and tiring, so Culpeper is offering people the ideal chance to relax and rewind and even make their very own unique Christmas gifts, at an open day on Sunday 29th November.
The store, in CrownGate Shopping Centre, is offering people the chance to come in from the cold and try a range of holistic therapy tasters, from 11am-1pm.
Stressed Christmas shoppers can feel their tension melt away with sessions including Indian head massage, holistic massage, seated acupressure massage and aromatherapy. They can also find out about keeping their stress levels down over the festive period, with advice on ayurvedic nutrition and lifestyle therapy.
Many of the therapists who practice from the store’s on-site therapy room, will also be on hand to give helpful advice on all the treatments on offer.
Shoppers looking to source unique gifts for their friends and family this Christmas can then learn how to make their very own products, during an aromatherapy workshop, from 1.30pm – 3.30pm.
Visitors will be given a talk on using essential oils and natural products to make thoughtful gifts, before learning some basic techniques to create products including bath melts, body scrubs and pot pourri. They will then make some products themselves which they can take home with them.
Everyone taking part in the workshop will get a free goodie bag, including recipes to make products at home. Entrance to the workshop is £5, which entitles people to 10 per cent off all aromatherapy products purchased on the day.
People will also be free to browse and shop for a range of products – perfect for Christmas gifts – throughout the event.
Continuing the festive theme – Culpeper will be celebrating its third birthday on Wednesday, 2nd December, and is offering customers free mulled wine tasting to help celebrate the event.
Alex Platt, of Culpeper, said: “We all know that Christmas shopping can be very tiring and frustrating, and that’s why our open day is the perfect opportunity for people to come in and try a de-stressing, relaxing therapy, and learn how such techniques can help them to relax and unwind on a day-to-day basis.
“Our aromatherapy workshop will allow people to try their hand at making their own products – ideal for unique, personal Christmas gifts, and to round that all off, on 2nd December we are inviting people to come and celebrate our 3rd birthday with a warming cup of mulled wine – what could be better?”
