Eat, drink and raise funds for earthquake appeal
Music, live art and delicious food are all on offer at the Art House Café in CrownGate Shopping Centre on Friday (January 22nd) to raise money for the millions of people affected by the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
A two-course meal will be served at 7pm, while local musicians Howard James Kenny, Deborah Hodgson and Richard Clarke provide accompaniment.
Artists Chris Bourke, Richard Clarke, Emilie Haf and Nadia Francis will capture the event across a variety of canvasses and raffle their finished pieces at the end of the evening – all money will go to the British Red Cross Disaster Fund for Haiti.
Event spokesman and local fundraiser Adam Gill said: “The Disasters Emergency Committee and British Red Cross need funds immediately. Thousands of people have died and many more need help in what is a desperately poor country.
“I feel we need to support these people in any way possible and in just one day we have organised a two course meal, local musicians, live art and a meet the artist exhibition. It shows how passionately the people of Worcester are and how the community comes together.”
Tickets for the two course meal and entertainment, which starts at 7pm, are £10 and must be purchased before the evening. Alternatively, tickets for the entertainment only, beginning at 8.30pm, cost £5. Tickets can be purchased from the Art House Café Bar, next to Huntingdon Hall, directly from Adam Gill. There will be a limited number of tickets available on the door for the entertainment only.
If you would like any further information on the event or are able to offer support in any way please contact Adam Gill on 07729455524 or gill_a@hotmail.com
