Top Toddler competition comes to CrownGate!

If your child has that extra special star quality, they could be in with a chance of winning a variety of prizes thanks to a fortnight-long event at CrownGate Shopping Centre.

Leeds-based company Arts Photography has teamed up with national charity Make a Wish foundation in a quest to find an extra-special youngster who will be crowned Worcester's Next Top Toddler.

The national competition, which began in Leeds, aims to raise as much money as possible for the Make-A-Wish Foundation® UK , which grants wishes to children and young people with life-threatening illness.

Arts Photography will be in Friary Walk, CrownGate – in the former MkOne unit, from Monday 8th to Sunday 21st February from 9.30am to 5pm Monday to Saturday and 10am to 4pm Sunday and is inviting parents to come down and enter their child into the competition via a professional photoshoot held at the centre.

Toddlers, both male and female - who must be between the ages of 1-5 years, can have studio portraits taken professionally for a donation of just £2 – which goes to Make-A-Wish.

Parents can then view their favourite photo immediately.  This photo will then be securely uploaded on to the Next Top Toddler website where friends and family can vote for who they think should be crowned Worcester's Next Top Toddler.

Arts Photography will be offering a selection of great value photography products including a royalty-free CD of parents’ favourite images, which they can print and share to their hearts’ content.

The toddler with the most votes will win a variety of prizes as well as the prestigious title of Worcester’s Next Top Toddler.

Worcester's Top Toddler spokesman and director of Arts Photography, Charles Gregory, said:  "This is a great opportunity for parents to enter an amazing competition whilst capturing fantastic images and raising valuable funds for an incredibly worthy charity all at the same time.

"The Leeds leg of the competition was extremely successful and attracted more than 700 contestants and more than 15,000 votes through our online voting system.

“We are sure that the Worcester leg of the competition will be immensely popular and will surpass the Leeds Top Toddler.”

CrownGate centre manager, Erica Burlace, said: “We are thoroughly looking forward to welcoming this campaign to the centre and hope that as many people as possible enter their little ones and raise funds for the Make a Wish Foundation, which brings so much happiness to children with life-threatening illness and their families.”

To enter the competition, visit the former Mk One unit, next to Mothercare in Friary Walk, CrownGate from 8th – 21st February 2010.
