Rowing club making oarsome strides

The two teams from the University of Worcester Rowing Club enjoyed a great day at their world record attempt in Bell Square today, as team coach John Maxwell explains:

"Both teams are doing well - the women have covered 650km, the men 768km.

"The women are now only 32 hours away from setting the firs of the world records we are attempting - the Million Meters, and should cross the finishline just after midnight on Thursday night.

"The men's team are now 60km ahead of world record pace - on course to set a huge new world record.

"We're all hugely looking forward to meeting the mayor and some of the Worcester Warriors at 3:30pm tomorrow.

"Support has again been great - we'd love to be making a little more money for the Snoezelen though - we've had just under £500 donated so far, despite rowing 1,400km and taking 15,000 rowing strokes! Anything you could do here would be amazing."
