Autumn/Winter 2009 shoe heaven!
Any regular shopper will not have failed to notice that coats, jumpers and other wintery attire has already started creeping onto the shelves – but forget those woolly knits for now and join me in a celebration of Autumn/Winter footwear.
Believe me, this season will be a show-stopper too. The flamboyant colours and embellished beauties that graced the fashion pages this summer haven’t left us, oh no, they are leading the way this autumn.
The shoe-lover in me couldn’t help but let out a squeal of delight when I heard that Dune had arrived in House of Fraser. One of my favourite footwear brands, Dune never leaves you cold when it comes to trend-setting styles – and their new season range won’t let you down.
Racy, lace-covered stiletto Jagger £75 (below left) will inject a cheeky eighties touch to any outfit, and disco-tastic, multi-coloured, gem-adorned Jelson £95 (below right) will add the wow-factor to your LBD.

Mission 2B, in Chapel Walk, is any footwear fan’s paradise, and is truly embracing this season’s delicious plum and jewel colours. Great for adding glamour to your workwear – their beautiful purple and pink button-detail Mary Jane, at a bargain price of £29.99 is truly a gem.
To really embrace this season’s sumptuous colours and fabrics, take a look at their ‘Easter’ style - a drop-dead gorgeous purple suede and snakeskin court, with a ribbon-tie, at £39.99 – and if Cadbury-purple isn’t for you, do not fear - they also come in beige.
If all this talk of sky-high heels is making your feet ache already, Mission 2B once again has the answer. Their brand new Emu boots, all at £148, look so comfy you could rest your head on them and go to sleep. In three colours, these soft, fake-fur lined lovelies will be your best friends when the cold sets in, trust me.
