Worcester raises the style stakes!

Worcester raises the style stakes! photo

Excited is an understatement – I’ve just seen the latest plans for CrownGate's Fashion Fortnight, and I am loving them!

A whole fortnight of fashion, beauty and lifestyle events right on my doorstep has pretty much got me fit to burst.

Already etched in my diary in permanent pen is the Fashion Show Spectacular on Saturday 17th, which has set my heart racing - move over Anna Wintour – I’m heading straight to the front row to soak up the hottest styles this season.  And with three shows throughout the day I’m planning to watch the action again and again.

A veritable feast of fashion – House of Fraser will be showcasing their cooler-than-cool ranges from brands including Therapy, Warehouse, Oasis and Boutique ranges and Debenhams will bring its fabulous Debut and Betty Jackson ranges to the catwalk.

Then I’m expecting some pure, classic luxury from Gerry Weber, some funky active wear from Animal and yes, fellas – watch and learn as Roscoe and Crombie shows how it is done. I cannot wait.

In fact, the fashion action doesn’t stop there - Gerry Weber will be showing off its full winter range in-store on Wednesday 7th and House of Fraser will be demonstrating the important art of looking stylish at work, with a businesswear fashion show in its café - on the second floor, on Thursday 8th.

I must say a dilemma faces me on Tuesday 6th - experts from three of my favourite make-up brands - Clinique, Benefit and Estée Lauder will be in Bell Square giving makeovers from 11.30am – but which one to go for?? Is it possible for one girl to have three makeovers in one day?

With all that excitement building up, I'm going to need some relaxation, so I’ll be taking full advantage of Culpeper and The Body Shop’s pamper day, on Friday 9th – Indian head massages, beauty treatments and aromatherapy facials – yes please.

I can also tell you now that I will be first in the queue at Bell Square on Tuesday 13th, to watch the Clarins experts demonstrate their beauty techniques, get a freeskincare consultation and pick up some freebies.

All that pampering can work up a real hunger, so I'll be nipping into the Art House Cafe to sample some of their taster dishes – on offer throughout the fortnight, and will certainly need to sample House of Fraser’s cream tea tasters in Bell Square on Thursday 16th – oh and tempting treats from Sweet Delight, on Wednesday 7th.

Or how about visiting Debenhams on Monday 12th, where you can combine browsing through their new season Designers at Debenhams ranges with wine and chocolate - what could be better?
