Think heavy metal’s not your thing? Then look again and see how this season’s metallic pieces can serve up a more understated dose of glamour than you might expect.
Look out for traffic-stopping high carat gold which is much more wearable than you think. With a gold to suit most skin tones, try contrasting a slick gold vest with serious tailoring to liven up your work wear, or for a more delicate approach, seek out gold embroidery to lift a plain shirt.
If we’ve still not convinced you to go for gold, then there are still plenty of alternatives. Think burnished bronzes, pewters, coppers and platinums in softer fabrics such as knitwear and jersey.
