Worcester Paint Festival (WPF) returns on September 17th and 18th with more fantastic murals popping up on city centre walls from some of the UK’s best loved street and graffiti artists.
WPF will be adorning brand new walls this year, meaning that all of last year’s favourites are still there for your enjoyment. Thousands of visitors came to the city last year for the first Worcester Paint Festival, which was met with a huge positive response from visitors and residents. WPF aims to create a trail of outdoor murals to brighten and delight which are accessible and diverse, as well as educate about the graffiti roots of this huge cultural scene.
For children, on Saturday 17th Sept, during the festival weekend, we will also have a drop in session working with Spare Room Arts to create some fun activities based around graffiti! This will be at WPF HQ, the Ping Pong Parlour, at Crowngate Shopping Centre between 11am – 3pm.
You can pick up a map featuring all of this year’s murals, as well as 2021’s locations, from Tourist Information at the Guildhall, and from the festival HQ at the Ping Pong Parlour in Crowngate Shopping Centre during the weekend. Or you can download the map, or view it on the WPF website. Please note that Crowngate Shopping Centre car park roof will be closed for several months from the end of September for vital works. This will mean that pieces there from WPF 2021 will
not be able to be viewed for that period.
